4th Day of the Month of Wheat, 3rd Year of my Reign
Today there is happy news for all the kingdom! My wife, my dearest queen, she is pregnant! There are none who do not celebrate this birth to come, and I have my marriage-mother to thank for that. By her sanction before her passing, she made it such that it matters not if it is my child or my beloved's. By his brother the honored bishop's hand we have each in our pairs been married and so united as three. He is like the wind that runs between Earth and Sky. Without him there would be no breath, no life, in our union. Indeed through him I have come to love my wife as never can I feel for another woman. I see her through his eyes, as one beautiful and cherished and more than a friend. Perhaps the child might be mine after all. It matters not. What matters is that my family shall increase and continue to lead this united queendom - though it may pass to a kingdom as my land previously was if the child is a boy - in peace and prosperity. Truly we are blessed by Earth and Sky that through the fortune of loving the same knight an ally became a lover and a knight became consort to a King AND Queen.
I thank Earth and Sky continually for this fortune and the blessings they have bestowed. And now I hear the two sweetest voices calling me from my desk, telling me it is time already for the festivities to begin. How quickly do they prepare these things. 'Twas but a week ago that we announced this joy, and the whole of the queendom has turned out with all the accoutrements of celebration in just that time. I shall go now, and write of the festivities later.

I really enjoyed this little story you put together. The different styles and relationship dynamics made it not only unique but also it kept me on my toes the entire time! Well done! I think you are a better writer than I, so keep at it!
